Daffodil Diamante

I am learning to write a Diamante Poem

  • use interesting (WOW) words to describe Daffodils
  • use a graphic organiser to help me form my diamond poem

I just needed a bit of help.  I could think of words.  Esmond  30.08.17

Well done Esmond, your diamond shaped poem reads well with some great WOW words. Remember to check your spelling carefully.  (shining)  A good beginning to diamante poems. Mrs Templeton  30.08.17

Making Connections

I am learning to make a personal connection with the text.

  • think of a time when...

Reflection:  I was very shy.  I could think of the ideas.  I think I did okay.  Esmond 22.08.17

You did a great job Esmond, especially as you are shy to talk aloud.  Great ideas and great thinking.  Keep trying to make a personal connection to what you read.

Geometry: Classifying 3D shapes

I am learning to sort, compare and classify 3D shapes using my own words and the language of geometry

Reflection:  I could count the sides and the edges.  I can name all the shapes.  Esmond

Esmond, I like the way you complete written tasks but keep trying to discuss the shapes and compare them using your words to describe their properties.  Mrs Templeton17.08.17
