Statistical Investigation

This term I have been learning to help with a statistical investigation

With my group I had to ask a question, tally the data, total, graph and comment on what I found out.

Reflection:
It was hard for me.  The hardest part was moving the sticks for the tally.
I needed help to do the graph.  I could say three things about my graph.

Making a Connection to What I Read

This term I have been learning to make a personal connection between the text and something in my own life

It  helps me to be a better reader when I...

  • think of a time when...
  • think of a memory or what it reminds me of
  • think about how the character is thinking or feeling

Writing

This term I have been learning to:

  • use a plan to help me record 3-4 ideas on a topic
  • use capital letters and full stops correctly
  • use Wordart to record words and phrases that describe ME!
  • My name is Esmond.  I am seven years old.  My birthday is on the 15th of January.

I live with my family, one dad and mum and my two brothers.  I have fifty cousins. I come from Cambodia and I live in New Zealand.  I’m mostly from New Zealand now.

I hate nightmares and the food I hate is mushrooms.

When I grow up, I  want to be a scientist so I can learn about everything.

The things I like are fruit and vegetables and playing on my computer.

  • I can write longer stories, I got more ideas. I used lots of words in the wordart. I think its now more interesting.
